Becoming a Member of GLC

Thank you for your interest in being a part of Gospel Life Church!

Although church membership is not specifically mentioned in Scripture, the components that comprise Gospel Life Church’s understanding of membership are there. For example, the early church had a clear understanding of who was considered “in” the church, as opposed to those “outside” the church (Acts 5:13; 1 Cor 5:11-13). Furthermore, the relationships between believers in a church and between the church body and its leadership is best expressed in a relationship of membership today.

Baptism

You must be baptized as a believer.  If you are not yet baptized, we encourage you to listen to Pastor Dave's three sermons on Baptism to understand why we believe it is so important (link below).  As you listen, fill out the baptism class worksheet which can be downloaded off the baptism sermons at the link below.  Once you have listened to these sermons, fill out our baptism application.

NOTE: The "Baptism Class Material" is the same for each sermon, but can be downloaded from any one of the sermons.

Church Covenant Statement of Faith
Membership Request

Church membership is a covenant among baptized, regenerate disciples of Jesus Christ, whose purpose is to glorify God by following the teaching of Scripture, by submitting to the shepherding ministry of the leadership, by fulfilling the mission left by Jesus to evangelize and disciple, and by uplifting the body of Christ through the Spirit endowed gifts.
